The conference “Actual problems of theory and history of art” is essentially important and beneficial for the development of Russian art criticism as it brings together both Russian researchers and academics from abroad. The conference gives one an opportunity to expand his knowledge, learn diverse innovative approaches to art criticism, to share his experience and knowledge. It gives an impulse to the further movement, that’s why we do need this conference very much. With my best regards I would like to note a high level of organisation of the conference and great work of the organising committee, editors and volunteers. They did their best in releasing amazing publications, organising tours and taking care of everyone.

A place, where young researchers meet experts; diversity of themes and various angles of looking at them; very well organised work of all groups and amazing evening cultural programme for participants; well-timed publications and their quality – this was the conference “Actual problems of theory and history of art” for me. I am truly thankful to the organisers for their efforts in making this unique event possible.

The conference “Actual problems of theory and history of art” is a unique project in Russia that gives professionals of different generations and schools an opportunity to meet up at the same place and share their discoveries, points of view on art etc. “Actual problems of theory and history of art” is my first experience of participation in an academic conference and I am truly grateful to the organisers for a chance to get this priceless experience of meeting colleagues from different countries and for my paper to be published in a compendium for the first time.
I hope the conference will get bigger every year!

The conference “Actual problems of theory and history of art” is a decent basis for both young researches and recognised experts. The conference is organised on a highest level possible, starting from the introduction of speakers and work of sections to accommodation and leisure time management.
The range of themes is very broad, which draws specialists of very different fields of academic study.
For the last three years I have taken part in the conference, I have only got the most pleasant memories. I have met new people and I wish to present my academic achievements there every year.

The yearly conference “Actual problems of theory and history of art” becomes an important event in the academic community over and over again. The lively exchange of information and experience between experts not only helps to stay at the cutting edge of academic study, but also gives a new impulse to a further research of various aspects of history and theory of art.
It is worth noticing that holding the conference in turns in Moscow and in Saint-Petersburg strengthens academic ties between the two advanced research centres in our country. It also helps in familiarising with the academic community and with cultural landmarks in both cities.
The fact that there were a lot of students, who participated in the conference, creates a good basis for the development of academic study: during the conference everyone gets a chance to learn from both Russian researchers and experts from abroad, to be inspired by their achievements and move towards one’s own goal in academic career.

I’ve attended the conference “Actual problems of theory and history of art” for three times already and I have presented my work once. To my mind, this conference is an amazing and quite a rare opportunity for a young professional to participate in an event of such level and scale. It’s very important that a student can present his work along with renowned academics. Special thanks for the tour programme and other events during the last days of the conference.

The conference “Actual problems of theory and history of art”’14 impressed me by its scale and wide range of themes. During the conference I had a chance to meet a lot of interesting people, involved in arts. It was amazing that students could participate and get an experience of presenting their works. Apart from Russian specialists, there were a number of experts from abroad presenting their achievements. The idea of a compendium solves a problem of impossibility to attend all sections at the same time. Trips and tours are a real gift for participants of the conference. The high level of organisation of all aspects of the conference is worth mentioning. So to say, the conference turned out to be very interesting and busy and I want to say huge THANKS to the organising committee and volunteers.
