Abstract |
The article analyses the creative method of the contemporary Petersburg artist Vik on the example of a series of paintings devoted to St. Petersburg (2003‒2013). The painter combines references to the Western art and traditional Russian methods and techniques, his work is the product of struggle for integrity in the mainstream of postmodernism. |
