Th e author discusses the problem of correlation between verbal and visual in the age of Late Renaissance on example of two sonnets by artist-poet Agnolo Bronzino about two works of art – statue of Perseus by Benvenuto Cellini and painting “Venus and Cupid” by Jacopo Pontormo.
