Ph.D., Senior lecturer
Graduated from the Department of History of Art, St. Petersburg Christian university. Completed a postgraduate course at the department of art history, St. Petersburg State university (supervisor V. Bulkin). Lectured at St. Petersburg Christian university from 2005 to 2009, from 2006 has worked at the Department of History of Art, St. Petersburg State university.
Svetlana Maltseva ‘s special interest lies in Eastern Christian art. She has been studied architecture and painting of the Eastern Christian region for many years. She organised several international expeditions, actively involving art history students of both St. Petersburg State university and Lomonosov State university (Serbia, 2009; Turkey, 2010; Serbia-Macedonia, 2011; Greece, 2013)
From 2009 Svetlana has organised and lead summer schools for art history students: Museum and local history summer school (Moscow group, took place in 2010–2013) and field practise (Zvenigorod group, takes place from 2013 on). The summer schools were developed and implemented as a part of collaborative partnership project between St. Petersburg State university and Lomonosov State university.
From 2010 on Svetlana is an active member of the organising committee and secretary in charge of the yearly international conference “Actual problems of theory and history of art”, organised by the same collaboration of St. Petersburg State university and Lomonosov State university.
Svetlana is an editor in charge for the “Actual problems of theory and history of art” compendiums that are included into the Russian Science Citation Index e-library.
