"Modern and Contemporary Art" section (October 3–4, The New Tretyakov):

In addition to the published conference program, a new presentation is included – by Mikhail Kamensky (independent researcher, Russia), "Jacques Lipchitz and Feliks Dzerzhinsky". The presentation is scheduled for "Russia and the West: Conventional Borders" session (October 3, 15:00–18:00).

"Western European Medieval Art" section (October 3, MSU Faculty of History):

The presentation by Andrey Egorov (Moscow Museum of Modern Art, Russia) "Prayers of the Magistrates: Typology and Decoration Program of German and Netherlandish Town Hall Chapels in the 14^th–16^th Centuries" is cancelled.

Opening of the conference — October 2, 13:30, Shuvalovsky Building of the MSU (27 building 4, Lomonosovsky Avenue).

Visitor registration is open through September 28.

Please note: to enter Shuvalovsky Building of the MSU, you will need to present your passport or other ID along with your participant or visitor badge. 

We have a few changes in the program of the conference: "Art of the Ancient World" panel is now scheduled for October 4, and "Theory of Art" panel – for October 5. You can find the updated schedule here. 

The full program of the conference will be published on September 20, 2018; also in September, registration of visitors and volunteers will be open via our website.

If you are participating in the conference with a poster presentation, please send the text and illustrations for your poster to the Organizing Committee of the conference (conference@actual-art.org) before August 1, 2018 (marking "poster" in the e-mail heading). You can find recommendations for preparing the posters on "How to apply" page.

The selection of papers for the 8^th International Conference “Actual Problems of Theory and History of Art” is complete. From 546 applications for participation in different sections and round tables we have approved about a half.

The outcomes of the selection are available in your personal account. Please check the status of your application. Also please check the format (oral or poster presentation) and the section, as soon as they could have been changed.

Should your application be accepted for the conference as poster presentation, you will need to send the text and illustrations for your poster to the Organizing Committee of the conference through August 1, 2018 (via conference@actual-art.org, note ‘poster’ in the email heading). In their reply, the editors will send you their comments and recommendations. See the recommendations for preparing the posters.
