The conference “Actual problems…” becomes an exciting event in its importance and scale. Discussions of new problems within sections or beyond them are positive, lively and actual at all times. This is the environment where science comes alive! New concepts and friendships develop during the conference – thanks to its brilliant organisation – more new opportunities open every year. Thanks to this amazing conference!

Many thanks to the organisers and volunteers for the idea of these amazing conferences and its implementation into life. They turned out to be very interesting and useful for my academic career, gave me new bright and poetic impressions and helped to find kind and sympathetic friends! I wish everyone, who participated in the conference, to keep on with success!

I am gladly surprised that such a big event was organised conceptually, beautifully and efficiently and that the conference became a cultural phenomenon. Friendly atmosphere made it especially charming and left our foreign colleagues (at least those I had a chance to meet in the last days of October) pleased.

I think that the conference “Actual problems of theory and history of art” 2014 is one of the best conferences in humanities in Russia and possibly in Europe.
1. The conference was held on a base of SPbSU with its traditions and the State Hermitage with its richest collections.
2. Good choice of speakers: both young professionals (and they were numerous, all bright and brilliant) and leading Russian and foreign experts presented their papers.
3. Diverse, exciting and very thought through programme of the after part of the conference: amazing trips to Novgorod and Pavlovsk, tours to the Restoration centre of the State Hermitage, lectures in the galleries of the Winter Palace – all that was a generous gift for the participants.
4. Opportunity to publish our papers in a compendium after the conference.
5. Friendly organising committee, which took care of all of us. Genuine desire to help and support can be said the main characteristic of the people, responsible for this conference.
This is, I think, the most valuable. Many thanks for this “celebration of art” that you created!
